	HMCS Shawinigan was a flower class Corvette of the Royal Canadian Navy. She was ordered on January 24th, 1940, built by George T. Davie & Sons Ltd. of Lauzon, Quebec, Canada and launched on the 16th of May, 1941. Commissioned on September 19th, 1941, she was lost on the 25th of November, 1944 at position 47.34N, 59.11W while serving on independent anti-submarine patrol in the Cabot Strait.
